Logic is defined as reasoning that is assessed by the strict rules of validity. In other words, for something to be logical, there need to be valid reasons as to why that thing is the way it is. For instance, you can't just say sugar is sweet just because it tastes that way to you. That opinion has to be studied and scientifically proven for it to be valid.Â
And while not all logic needs to go through that kind of process, there needs to be sound evidence that what you're saying is true and that it makes sense. Now, the same definition can be applied to logical people. They don't make statements based on their emotions or the assumptions of others. They say things that are valid and always have a sound rationale for their thoughts or actions.Â
