About This Quiz

Suffering Sappho! Superheroes have been considered a bit kinky since before the days of the Comics Code Authority. While the intention of Captain America and Bucky was to make the reader, often a teenage boy, feel as though he were part of the action, helping the Captain fight the Nazis, some critics of comic books saw an inappropriate relationship between a grown man and a teenage boy.

This pattern of criticism played out with Batman and Robin, and countless other teams. Many of the details of Wonder Woman similarly raise eyebrows, from her magic rope that forces the bound to speak the truth, to her frequent circumstance of being restrained against her will, to her catchphrase, "suffering Sappho."

What are the defining characteristics of a superhero? They wear tight-fitting clothes, often leather or spandex, or latex. They often wear "armor" that is little more than a decoration intended to draw attention to their physical assets. They rarely kill or injure their opponents, but rather they wrestle them and then restrain them for "punishment," which only motivates the supervillain to start the cycle again.

If the arrangement superheroes have with their villainous counterparts isn't a kinky one, I don't know what is. Answer some kinky questions for us, and we'll tell you which superhero you are.
