Sammy Hagar famously sang that he can't drive 55 long after the speed limit was nationally set to 55 miles per hour back in 1974. Of course, that law was repealed by 1995, but Hagar sang the song in the mid-1980s when it was both a law and a national controversy with people actively ignoring the law en masse. Which is to say that, yeah, some people were going fast. Really fast.
When it comes to driving, some people just like to let loose. And you can in a lot of places, like on parts of the Autobahn in Germany and elsewhere in Europe. You can open 'er up, put your foot down, and see exactly what that engine will do. And there's also tracks you can drive on whenever you like as well. It's just hard to resist the urge, right? There's a real sense of freedom when it comes to driving fast. And how can you resist sometimes anyway? The speedometer goes way up there, it's like it's challenging you to give it a try sometimes! So whether you're a NASCAR driver in spirit or a Sunday driver who's desperately afraid of pushing the limit, take the quiz and we'll guess just how fast you've ever driven.
