About This Quiz

So many different genres of music exist. Country, rock, hip-hop, and pop music make up a lot of what we listen to. Pop music, especially, has been continuously evolving since the 60s.

The Beatles changed pop music forever with their appearance on "The Ed Sullivan Show" in 1964. Bands like the Rolling Stones and the Kinks followed their lead. The British Invasion ignited the imaginations of millions of teenagers around the world. Time passed, and the rest of the music world changed.

Today's pop singers have catchy beats and larger-than-life voices. Artists like Sia, Katy Perry and Lady Gaga have bold stage presences and music videos but can belt out a pop anthem with the best of them. At the same time, rappers have burst onto the pop scene, slowly emerging from the underground clubs and into the mainstream. In 2019, rap music is firmly a part of pop music. Acts like Nicki Minaj and Kanye West are two of many rappers who have made their way onto Top 40 charts.

As music changes, tastes change. But pop music appeals to everyone from all walks of life. Think about the music you like. Look through the questions we've made up for you. Tell us what you like, and we'll tell you what work you do! Have fun!
