Subway is the world's largest fast food franchise, with more than 44,000 locations in 110 countries. In 2014, Business Insider reported that the chain served over 7.6 million subs every day.

Taco Bell is named for its founder, Glen Bell. In the early days of the chain, Tacos were only 19 cents each.

Five Guys' first restaurant was opened in 1986 in Arlington, Virginia. They fry all of their food in peanut oil.

A&W Root Beer, Papa Burger, Cheese Curds.

A&W is the oldest restaurant franchise in America, dating back to 1921. They also invented the bacon cheeseburger.

The Baby Back Rib Thickburger, Strawberry Swirl Cheesecake, Onion Rings.

Carl's Jr. started as a Los Angeles hot dog stand in 1941. It has had a food truck which has made cross-country trips for over a decade.

Krispy Kreme was founded in 1937 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The founder is said to have bought the secret doughnut recipe from a New Orleans chef.

Long John Silver's opened in 1969 in Lexington, Kentucky. The chain is named after the pirate villain Long John Silver, from Robert Louis Stevenson's 1883 novel "Treasure Island."

Popeyes is named for the detective played by Gene Hackman in "The French Connection," Popeye Doyle. The chicken is known to be a favorite of Beyonce.

Quizno's was founded by Chef Jimmy Lanbatos in the '70s, who previously had fine dining experience. As of 2015, there were about 1,500 stores around the world.

TCBY stands for The Country's Best Yogurt. It is one of the biggest retailers of soft-serve frozen yogurt in America.

Tim Hortons has been in business since 1964. This Canadian fast food chain is named for four-time Stanley Cup winning hockey player Tim Horton.

The first Panda Express opened in 1983 in Glendale, California. Orange Chicken is the chain's signature dish and in 2016 it served 80 million pounds of it.

Roy Rogers was founded in 1968 in Falls Church, Virginia. As of 2016, it has 54 stores in the Mid-Atlantic and northeastern United States.

Shake Shack began in 2004 and has since become a global phenomenon. It's popular across America and in the Middle East.

WingStreet is almost always paired with Pizza Hut. There are locations in America, Canada and Australia.
