Musically, the '60s were an incredible decade.
Rock'n roll was powering through hit after hit, all while folk music was experiencing its own explosion in popularity.
Throughout the decade, music continued to evolve, giving us psychedelic rock, the first sounds of heavy metal, melodic pop, blues, Motown, acapella, protest music, surf rock... you name it and someone played it in the 1960s.
Bands like the Rolling Stones, the Beach Boys, the Beatles and many others dominated the airwaves, along with duos such as Simon and Garfunkel and even solo artist such as Marven Gaye.
Many of these musicians used the single format to get their best songs out there, because the public just loved to buy singles! Of course, a single needed a good B-side, in fact, some of them are better than some singles!
So in this ultimate '60s music quiz, we are not going to test your knowledge of the singles released by bands, but tather of their flip-side tracks, or the B-sides, as they were called.
Take your time in narrowing down your answers and think back to the time when hippies, VW bugs and good music were king!
