Are you a history buff? Have you studied Nazi history, including the words they used to refer to things during World War II? If so, then this is the quiz for you. Test your Nazi lingo knowledge and get bragging rights among your friends.
The term "Nazi" refers to the brand of National Socialism that was rampant in Germany after World War I. A form of fascism promoted by the National Socialist German Workers' Party, and often referred to as Nazism, this form of nationalism wasn't just political, it was cultural and social, as well. Nazism promoted racial hierarchy and encouraged, both covertly and overtly, violence against those who did not meet the Party's definition of acceptable. Of course, history has recorded the atrocities that were the result of this type of thinking and political leadership, and we all hope that the world has learned its lesson, but, unfortunately, some of the ramifications of the era remain.
None of this, of course, should render the language of the Nazis unspeakable. In fact, as the saying goes "those who do not learn from the past are condemned to repeat it." And, learning from the past means being able to associate the words with the deeds.
Take this quiz to find out if you can identify these famous Nazi words.
