The NBA, NFL and MLB and the three major sports leagues in America and they employ some of the most popular professional athletes in the world. The most popular athletes around the globe are football (soccer) players, but America's football league (MLS) isn't nearly as popular as the others.

Taxi cab drivers all over the world are under threat from Uber and Lyft drivers. Members of the Millennial generation and Generation Z are hailing taxi cabs less and less and using ride-sharing apps more and more.

According to the World Health Organization, there are about 30 million nurses in the world, and 4 million of them work in the United States. They are the No. 1 contact for patients across the world, and no medical center can function without them.

Being the teacher's pet isn't the best label to have, and it evolves into sycophancy as you get older. The teacher's pet is the student who sucks up to the teacher in an attempt to get brownie points. Gifting an apple on the first day of school might work.

The history of humans in the workforce is a complicated one. We used to just roam around and wait for real animals like lions and tigers to finish eating big animals like buffalo and wildebeest so we could walk over and scrape for bone marrow, something lions and tigers didn't care for.
