Whether you know it or not, believe in them or not, throughout history, there have been several descriptions of spirit animals in many different cultures. Also called spirit guides, or power animals, they are said to be an extension of the human soul that acts as a guide and, well, as the protector of their physical being.
Each of the spirit animals is said to possess traits from the human they are watching over, as well as maintaining characteristics of their own. While they can take the form of any of the creatures in the entire animal kingdom, some of the most common animals include elephants, owls, sharks, lions, and monkeys.
There are also those who come from specific animal families, such as the Canidae family. It consists of coyotes, foxes, dogs, wolves, jackals, and dingoes, and while they are all placed in the same group, they all have their own individual personalities.
