The Walt Disney Company was founded on October 16th, 1923 by brothers Walt and Roy O. Disney, and for almost 100 years after its creation, it has been providing entertainment to the masses in the form of television, motion pictures, theme parks, and radio. 

The company was responsible for bringing some of the best literary works to the big screen, introducing the world to some of its best-talented actors and singers as well as creating "the happiest place of Earth" - Disneyland, within its first 50 years.

Today, the company owns 14 theme parks around the world and each of them brings its best-loved characters and most successful movies to life. It was also responsible for producing wildly successful films like "The Lion King," "The Pirates of the Caribbean" franchise and "The Star Wars Franchise." 

With the company having a hand in almost every aspect of entertainment, it is easy to see why people love it and why they look forward to seeing how it evolves while still paying tribute to the greats.
