About This Quiz

Although the internet has brought us closer together than ever before (at least in terms of communication speed), regional differences still persist. It might be easy enough for you to Skype your cousin in Georgia, but if you live in Washington State, we bet that your points of view regarding gun control strongly clash. Similarly, a native of New Mexico probably thinks the best national park in the world is the Carlsbad Caverns, while someone from Maine would argue that Acadia National Park is the far superior spot.

The differences don't stop there. If you grew up on the East Coast, you likely see Pennsylvania in a far more positive light than those folks who only know it through episodes of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia." Meanwhile, Alabamians know that there's more to Louisiana than Anne Rice, while Oregonians hate Californians with a passion that might surprise people from Nebraska.

If you're having a hard time believing that these state-based biases, alliances and enmities are real, we suggest you take this quiz. We're going to ask you to nickname a wide range of states, from Texas to Rhode Island. At the end of the quiz, we'll rank your answers and guess which state you actually hail from. Want to see if we'll get it right? Hurry up and take this quiz, Hoosier!
