The 1990s are now often looked back on as a nostalgic era that defined many aspects of global pop culture.
With the decade marking the height of the Gen-X crowd, the music, attitude, personalities and influences that came out of that crowd in that era proved to be memorable, lasting, and yes, "vintage cool!"

It's undeniable that the '90s were another pivotal decade for music, with the introduction of new genres such as grunge, and the introduction of songs that are now classics in their own right. We also saw a lot of new musicians debut back then, who have longevity up to now. We also saw the resurgence of older acts that resurfaced during that decade, wowing a new audience by producing new songs.
