About This Quiz

Test your knowledge of breeds by matching them to the species!

A breed is an animal that has a set of distinct characteristics within a particular species. Cats, dogs, rabbits, cattle, ducks and horses are species that can be divided into different breeds.

If you know that Wagyu is a type of cattle native to Japan and known for its high quality meat (no, they aren't fed beer or given massages), then you're off to a good start. If you know that an Abyssinian is a type of cat native to Ethiopia that is now bred in the U.K., then you're even smarter.

If you know that a Clydesdale is a type of horse native to Scotland... you've probably been watching too many Super Bowl commercials and drinking too much beer. (Clydesdales are the official horse of the Anheuser-Busch Brewing Company.) And, if you know that a Mallard is a type of duck, there's no holding you back.

Any way you look at it, you're going to have a blast with this quiz. If you think you are an expert in cats, dogs, horses, cattle and other domesticated species, take this quiz to see just how knowledgeable you are!
