About This Quiz

Your personality is as distinct and unique as the four major regions of Canada, all of which come with their own quirks and location-specific idiosyncrasies. The stereotypes that accompany these regions are often based on physical constructs: West Coasters love their organic vegetables while East Coasters spend their days playing fiddle music and fishing for cod. It's up for debate whether these generalizations are actually accurate, and those who inhabit these regions are more likely to disagree than agree with these categorizations. While it's true there's no such thing as a universal personality, there are definite traits that seem to be inherent in specific regions of Canada. This doesn't mean everyone in the area shares this personality — or that you even live or have lived in a specific region — but there's a kernel of truth in terms of personalities being related to geographic location (after all, our beliefs and behaviours are shaped by the communities we call home.)

To answer the questions in this quiz, you'll have to conduct your own thought experiments about your reactions under certain circumstances. Do you play it cool when it comes to stressful situations? Are you happiest when you're alone or with a crowd of people? What comes first: work or pleasure? Your responses will eventually match up with a region in Canada — maybe you live there already, or perhaps it's time for a change of scenery! Are you ready to find out which region shares the fundamentals of your personality? Let's begin!
