Back in the day, pretty much anyone could say that they were a cowboy. When you think about it, all you really needed to look the part was a horse, a saddle, a hat and some spurs. But being a cowboy is a lot like being an actor or an artist. Sure, you can say you're one, but can you really make a living at it?
Not all cowboy jobs are the same, and if you wanted to have enough beans to fry over the fire, or be able to buy a drink at the local saloon, you needed to be able to figure out what cowboy job you would be best at.
Maybe you were the type who was a true superstar on your horse, and you ended up competing on the rodeo circuit. Or perhaps you would be better with your hand then you would be on your horse and you would be perfect as a blacksmith. Or you could be what a lot of cowboys did for work, a cattle driver, and there is nothing wrong with that. Or possibly you don't like to work much at all and decide to become a rustler. Would you be a cowpuncher or a tenderfoot? Take this quiz to find out.
