About This Quiz

According to the Fédération Cynologique Internationale, or the World Canine Organization, there are over 330 official breeds and 11 provisional breeds which are universally accepted. They come from all corners of the world and some of them date as far back to the time of Egyptian pharaohs. Throughout history, they have all served some type of role whether it be for hunting, herding, guarding and human companionship.

Just like humans, dog breeds have their own personalities and characteristics, some of which make them more suited to certain type people instead of others. For example, Akitas make great companions but are known for their extreme shedding making them unsuitable for people who have allergies or people who are self-professed clean freaks. Chihuahuas are some of the cutest small dog breeds but can get very aggressive, making them unsuitable for families with smaller children.

Which of the many dog breeds is perfect for you and would fit seamlessly into your life? Will you be surprised by the breed that you end up with or will you be heading to get this breed as soon as you are done taking this quiz? Let's get started if you want to find out which dog breed would be perfect for you!
