Pokemon is a media franchise which is centered around fictional creatures called Pokemon. Humans known as Pokemon trainers capture and train them to battle each other for sport, and sometimes personal defense. There are several different types, one of which is fire. 

Their moves are based on attacks of fire, often leaving the status burn after an attack has landed. They themselves are immune to being burned, and they have a distinct advantage over Grass, Ice, Bug and Steel type Pokemon. On the other hand, Water, Rock, Dragon and other Fire types pose a threat to this type, rendering many of their moves ineffective. 

There are many of these types of Pokemon, some of the most popular being Charizard, Vulpix and Ninetales, Magmar, Flareon, Arcanine, Moltres, Blaziken, Slugma, Litten, Entei and Groudon.
