Which Hogwarts House Does Your Dog Belong In?
by Mark Lichtenstein

The world of Harry Potter, for most of the series, was set in the magical school of Hogwarts. Every year, students would be sorted into one of the four houses based on personality traits that they possessed. The four houses are Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff and Slytherin, each of which has its own set of values that the students were known to share.

What if Hogwarts decided to have a Wizarding school for Dogs? Would you send your best friend there? Just like humans, dogs have their own personalities and temperaments that would describe the type of dog that they are. Because we live with our pets, we know everything about them, from their favorite foods to where they like to sleep to what activities they like. If you placed the sorting hat on your dog's head, would it be able to pick up on those traits and sort it into a house?

Which of the four houses will your pet be sorted into? Will your dog be sent to Ravenclaw because he/she is a genius in the making? Will they be sorted into Gryffindor because they are brave and chivalrous? Will they be wearing green after being sorted into Slytherin for being ambitious, or will your dog be sorted into Hufflepuff because they are most loyal of them all? If you would like to know where the sorting hat will place your dog, then you should take this quiz!
