Nature is a weird and wacky thing, isn't it? We've got adorable puppies and cuddly kittens and whatever the heck a platypus might qualify as.  There are super gross bugs and giant fish and fluffy birds and also mimes. It's weird, right? And then, off in their own little corner of the world, are the kinds of animals you never want to get locked in a room with. The creatures at the top of the food chain that have teeth and claws that could tear you to shreds. Predators. Killer beasts. Bad news bears.

You can admire and respect a killer beast without having to actually get near one. The lion is the king of the jungle, after all. A wolf is noble and mysterious. A leopard is swift and intimidating. A great white shark kept people afraid of beaches since the 1970s. They have a lot of great qualities to go along with their more dangerous side.
